Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a 23 year history working in Vietnam, SPIR has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 4 sectors health, education, protection, and disaster preparedness and response.

SPIR Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.

We are now seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position:

Position Title: National Intern for Operations Department
Position Duration: 06 months (4 full days per week), from September, 2020 to February, 2021
Duty Station: Hanoi, SPIR Office
Reports To: Office Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Intern is responsible for assisting the Operation department in the Samaritan’s Purse Vietnam (SPIR) office operations. The Operations Intern will provide support for field operations in Vietnam, especially in the area of administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Check and maintain office supply inventory as required by Office Manager.
Maintain an orderly and well supplied office environment. Order and/or purchase items for the staff with Office Manager’s approval.
Create office forms when required under direction of Office Manager.
Maintain office wellness under direction of Office Manager.
Go to agencies to submit dispatch documents if needed (for Operation department in general).
Greet and seat all SPIR visitors graciously. When appropriate, offer drinks to the visitors. Inform appropriate staff of his/her presence under direction of Office Manager.
Committed to SP values and ethic in representing the organization to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
Translate documents if needed under direction of Office Manager.
Do some tasks related to Labor Union under direction of Human Resource Manager.
Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Human Resource Manager, and Senior Procurement Coordinator.

Education

Fresh graduate or senior from college/university;
Bachelor’s Degree from a college/university or institute in a relevant area of study such as administration; office management, or related field is an advantage.

Skills Required:

Fluency in Vietnamese including writing, reading and speaking is required.
Good knowledge of English is required.
Good planning, time management and organizational skills; high level of integrity.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.

SPIR in Vietnam is a Christian nonprofit organization. Candidates having working experience in a similar kind of organization will be an advantage.
