The Australia – Vietnam economic reform (Aus4Reform) program works with the Vietnamnese Government to boost productivity and competiveness in Vietnam by supporting the developmentof quality policies, laws, and institutions through advocacy, consultation, and by strengthening the evidence base for economic policies – drawing on intermational exxerience and expertise, especially from Australia.
Aus4Reform aims to help the Gov achieve these objectives via 05 components:
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (Central Institute for Economic Management) is the governing body and coordinator of the Program. Implementing agencies of the Program include: Ministry of Industry and Trade (Vietnam Competition and Consumer Protection Authority); Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Central Economic Commission, Economic Committee of the National Assembly and some localities.
The study “ Opportunities and challenges for Vietnam’s agricultural trade in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and policy recommendations” implemented by the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) aims at identifying the Covid-19 pandemic’s impacts on Vietnam’s key agricultural products trade, then providing a scientific basis for developing of national strategies, plans, target programs, and schemes of agriculture and rural development sector in a new context.
