About MCD
Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organization and was established in 2003, working in the field of promoting effective management of marine resources and environment, improving community life and sustainable development in coastal areas.
MCD has had working experience in over ten coastal provinces, mobilizing resources and implementing over 75 projects with different scales, cooperating with domestic and international agencies, organizations and enterprises. MCD projects are focused on two main topics: (1) Natural resources and marine environment management and (2) Sustainable Livelihoods and community development. MCD promotes the integration of cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, environmental protection, and climate change response in sustainable livelihoods and resource management, with the involvement of community and beneficiary groups of which women are considered the disadvantaged group to be given priority.
Green Light House Program has been initiated by MCD since 2013 in order to create a flagship opportunity for young intellectuals such as final year students or university graduates to get access to a dynamic organization working; this will also enable them to widen their knowledge and improve their relevant skills for their future career, through internship practice. The selected Green Light House will experience an internship of at least 6 months with MCD, after which they will be considered for being recruited as MCD’s staff if needed.
Implementing the 2021-2022 plan, MCD is recruiting candidates for the position of Program Assistant Intern - Sustainable livelihood, Aquatic Resource Management and community development.

Selected candidates will work at the Head Office of MCD in Hanoi and possibly go on a local business trip as required by the job.
The internship term is a minimum of 6 months, expected from April 15, 2021 to October 15, 2021, can be considered to be promoted to the position of Program Collaborator if qualified at mid-term evaluation. The internship can be extended according to the needs and commitments of both parties.
