In 2017, Animals Asia signed an agreement with the Vietnamese Government to bring bear bile farming to an end. In early 2022, our new sanctuary in Bach Ma National Park will be ready to accept bears and are looking for someone with a passion for people and animals to join our team as a Sanctuary Manager.
With support from the expert staff at Animals Asia’s Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre in Tam Dao National Park, you will be responsible for the general day-to-day operations of Bach Ma Bear Sanctuary. You have advanced interpersonal skills and are experienced in leading, motivating and inspiring a large multi-disciplinary team. With an excellent work ethic, you are highly organised and embody Animals Asia’s brand values of empathy, courage, tenacity, and respect. Fluent in English and Vietnamese, you are an experienced communicator and comfortable speaking with guests, government authorities, and the media.
The Sanctuary Manager is a full-time, permanent position based in Bach Ma National Park. As part of your training and onboarding, you will spend 2-3 months based at Animals Asia’s Vietnamese Bear Rescue Centre in Tam Dao National Park. During your training, you will be expected to spend some time in our head office in Hanoi. Accommodation and transport will be provided to you during your training.

Responsibilities
You will be asked to start in late November or early December 2021. You will be based at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre in Tam Dao National Park for the first 2-3 months. After that, you will relocate to Bach Ma National Park, to our new bear rescue centre.
