Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian humanitarian organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a sustainable history working in Vietnam, Samaritan’s Purse has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 6 sectors: health, WASH, education, protection, livelihood and relief.

Samaritan’s Purse Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam, Tra Vinh, the south of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.

We are now seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position:

Position Title: Programs Independent Collaborator
Position Duration: Up to 16 working days per month, 06-month contract
Duty Station: Ha Noi with travel to project sites
Reports To: Project Manager(s)

Job Summary:

The Programs Independent Collaborator will support various sectors of projects for Samaritan’s Purse in Vietnam. These sectors include health, education, protection, WASH, livelihoods, nutrition, disaster response and community outreach. He/she provides logistical, administrative, and monitoring support under the direction of the assigned Project Manager. Currently, the projects take place in Ha Noi, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, and Quang Nam province yet may shift to other areas. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Implementation:
  
  • Logistical Arrangements: Prepare logistical arrangements including transportation, accommodations, meals, and supplies for project activities and distributions. 
  • Training: Assist with training setup, monitoring, and wrap up.
  • Schedule: Manage timely completion of the project activities under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Procurement: Ensure the project has the necessary products and/or services to complete work in a timely manner. Support with inventory of supplies. 
  • Administrative: Prepare documentation needed to track project activities, surveys, forms, etc.

• Monitoring and Evaluation:
  
  • Monitoring training and activities conducted by SPIR and partners.
  • Complete survey on training and activities.
  • Conduct interviews to collect stories as qualitative data.
  • Compile data from surveys, questionnaires, and activities into workbooks and reports.

• Finance:
  
  • Support compiling receipts and completing expense reports.

Education/Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• At least 01 years’ experience working in related field.
• Strong willingness and passion to help the poor and disadvantaged in Vietnam.

Skills Required:

• Basic English-written and spoken.
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
• Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills; high level of integrity.
• Humble and mature team player; ability to be flexible and adapt.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• Ability to travel frequently to remote villages in varying weather conditions
