JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Research and Development (R&D) Manager
REACH Vietnam is a local Vietnamese non-government organization specializing in vocational training and employment for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youth, including those with disabilities. It was established in 2008, and currently runs vocational training courses in five centers across Vietnam supporting up to 1,100 disadvantaged Vietnamese annually coming from all over the country.
REACH is searching for a local Research and Development (R&D) Manager to fulfill the organization’s Strategic Objectives of Development.
Work place: Based in the office in Hanoi, able to travel for work within Vietnam if required.
Position goals: to find and assess job market needs, and develop and pilot market driven training courses, monitor & evaluate courses and share good practices among REACH Centers
Duration: Jan 2022-Dec 2024
Report to: REACH Executive Director
Tasks:
- Conduct market survey for the emerging needs of learning and recruitment
- Collaborate with relevant staff to identify the feasibility of the training to be developed
- Lead the development and testing process: coordinate Center Managers, Facilitators, Program Officers, Consultants to build curriculum/training schedule and approach, pilot courses in or out of REACH Centers
- Collaborate with M&E Manager, Training Coordinators and Trainers to monitor and access the efficiency of the training, Advice the proper corrective action
- Coordinate learning and sharing activities internally and externall
Expected outcomes:
- Market needs identified correctly with survey, suggestion of feasible training
- 05 New trainings of high needs and organization relevance developed every year with curriculum and/ or training schedule and approach
- Courses conducted, monitored and evaluated
- Learning and sharing culture developed
Position requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Education, Community Development, Social Work or related fields
- 3 year experience in project, program development/management
- Experience in research, development of training courses (including survey, research, curriculum/training schedule, monitoring and evaluation) is required
- Knowledge in learner centered management, market driven and participatory training approaches is required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking and result oriented
