PROVISION OF LOCALLY TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR STUDYING

TRANSMISSION GRID PLANNING

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. The project “Clean Affordable and Secure Energy for South East Asia (CASE)” implemented by GIZ is looking for a group of local consultants to conduct a study “Transmission Grid Planning”.

Therefore, GIZ Hanoi Office is conducting a public tender to seek a qualified Individual local Consultant (here after called as LC) to carry related tasks as below:

1. Timeframe of the assignment: tentatively commence from 11^th February until 30^th June 2022
2. Place of Assignment: Hanoi
3. Estimated Man-days and requirements:

The below specified qualifications represent the requirements to reach the maximum points

1	Lead Grid Modelling expert (Lead GM)	45	A Master’s degree in power system or similar, 20 years relevant full-time work experience but not below 15 years of experience in energy/power sector Practical experience in relevant projects of grid planning and development (transmission lines, substations…) Extensive knowledge of Vietnam’s power sector (including power source and grid planning) and the technical standards of the electricity systems. Proficient in power analysis software (i.e. PSSE, EMPT…)

4. General requirements:

• The local individual consultants will be contracted to work in a team consist of 05 local consultants who are experts in energy/power and grid system to conduct the study “Transmission Grid Planning”.
• He/she is expected to have extensive experience, expertise and hold proven knowledge in relevant sectors.
