The project “Support to VPA process for Vietnam” is commissioned by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-financed by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK with counter-part funds from the Vietnamese Government. The implementing agencies are the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Viet Nam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
The project aims to support Vietnamese stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and enterprises, in the implementation of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement on Forestry Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (VPA/FLEGT) between the EU and Vietnam. The project’s overall objective is to achieve sustainable management of timber supplying forests and strengthen legal compliance and Rule of Law in Vietnam.

The project “Supporting the implementation of the FLEGT VPA in Vietnam” is commissioned by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in collaboration with MARD / VNFOREST.
The project’s overall objective is: “to prepare necessary organizational and legal conditions to implement the VPA-FLEGT between Vietnam and the EU”. The project is expected to achieve its objectives by end of 2024 through the implementation of the three following outputs:
The project is looking for qualified national intern to fill the following position of:
National Intern
Learning area: National Technical Intern/FLEGT
Duty station: Ha Noi, Vietnam.
Duration: for 6 months, starting from February 2022
The National Intern is expected to learn and practice by providing support and assistance to the project team in the various activities:
