BACKGROUND

The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a five-year, global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). EpiC Vietnam’s goal is to deliver efficient, affordable, results-based technical assistance and direct services while closing remaining gaps in Vietnam’s efforts to meet HIV epidemic control targets and address the global COVID-19 pandemic.
We are seeking a qualified individual/individuals to develop and deliver trainings courses and technical assistance on community-based care (CBC) to community health care workers (HCW) who provide care services to home-isolated COVID-19 patients.
SCOPE OF WORK
The objective of this assignment is to deliver the training courses and a virtual technical assistance session targeting community healthcare workers, including clinicians, nurses and other individuals within the health system to improve response to COVID-19 at the grassroot level. Training will be delivered via Zoom Webinar (managed by EpiC) and reach thousands of community healthcare workers. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating similar large-scale trainings.
TRAINING SESSIONS
Potential topics for the training include both theoretical and practical topics. Theoretical training will include at least 3 modules while practice session will include at least one module with a maximum of 2 hours each module:
Module 1: Overview
Module 2: Guidance on CBC of home-isolated F0
Module 3: Other technical issues and deployment model
Module: Practice
The practice session includes hands-on guidance of oxygen equipment use, such as pulse oximeters, oxygen cylinders, physical exercises (breathing) for infected persons.
CASE STUDIES AND Q&A SESSION
For the two-hour virtual technical assistance session, the consultant is expected to present the case studies of CBC deployment and to host the Q&A session responding to the questions on CBC from community health care workers.
Note: Applicants may apply to lead all of the above or a subset based on their experience, and expertise. Modules and practical session content that consultant is interested in covering should be clearly indicated in the application
