Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian humanitarian organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a sustainable history working in Vietnam, Samaritan’s Purse has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 6 sectors: health, WASH, education, protection, livelihood and relief.

Samaritan’s Purse in Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam, Tra Vinh, the south of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.

We are now seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position:

Position Title:            Operations Independent Collaborator            

Position Duration:     Up to 16 working days per month, from Apr to Dec 2022

Duty Station:             Ha Noi

Reports To:                Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Independent Collaborator will support in assigned human resources and procurement/logistics tasks. The candidate will gain experience in a wide variety of organizational processes while having the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on disadvantaged communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Human Resource
  
  • Recruitment: maintain staff directory, translate documents.
  • Administration: maintain independent collaborator (IC) database, conduct IC background checks, invoice IC PIT and file IC contracts.
  • Document Management: print, mail, and file certain HR documents.
• Procurement and Logistics:
  
  • Research: locate suitable suppliers to match cost, quality, and suitability.
  • Vet: verify legal information/profile of new suppliers, assist in background and reference checks.
  • Deliver: support in delivering to the field.
  • Database: support in updating the database when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, such as business administration, required.
• 01 year work experience in related field preferred.
• Strong willingness and passion to help the poor and disadvantaged. 

Skills Required:

• Basic English – written and spoken.
• Good communication skills – written and spoken.
• Skilled at planning, time management, and organization.
• Possess high level of integrity; is humble and mature team player; able to be flexible and adapt.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• Willingness to travel to project areas to support activities as assigned.

Samaritan's Purse in Vietnam is a Christian nonprofit organization. Candidates having working experience in a similar kind of organization will be an advantage.
