Background

VVOB is a non-profit organisation with over 35 years of experience in improving the quality of education systems from a rights-based perspective. VVOB has currently long-term partnerships with education actors in 9 countries in the South (Cambodia, DR Congo, Ecuador, Rwanda, South Africa, Suriname, Vietnam, Zambia and Uganda) and in Belgium/Flanders. Its annual budget is around 13 million euros.

In Vietnam, VVOB is currently implementing the following programmes/projects:

• Preschool Teachers Apply Language-rich Teaching Skills and Knowledge (TALK) (2022-2026)
• Integrating Play-based Learning Activities for Young learners (iPLAY) (2019-2023), funded by The LEGO Foundation.
• Blended Learning for Educators in a Global Network for Development (BLEND), funded by The LEGO Foundation.
• Communities of practice Inspiring Teaching Innovations in the early Education System in Vietnam – Phases 3 (CITIES 3)

This call is to cover the period from 2022 to 2024.

Objectives and scopes of the call

The flight ticket booking vendor will conduct the following tasks. All tasks require close contact and continuous communication with VVOB staff.

1	To advise and provide with quotation, booking, reservation and ticket services for domestic and international routes that align with VVOB’s cost norm and financial guidelines for project activities.	Within 1 hour after receiving email request from VVOB and as soon as possible after receiving confirmation from VVOB.
2	To follow up and inform VVOB upon any changes (ticket price, flight time, flight route, etc.) after booking until completion.	As soon as possible
3	To provide a contact point available for free supports of any queries from VVOB related to ticket booking, do online check-in, and buy add-in services upon requested.
4	To update on any changes in airline regulation on booking, reversing a seat, buying ticket, refunding ticket, cancelling tickets, … if any.	As soon as possible

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Main location: 6 provinces: Gia Lai, Dien Bien, Quang Tri, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh city, other provinces – if required.
• Preference airlines:
  
  • For domestic flight: Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Viet jet Air, Jet Star Pacific (in order from high priority to low priority).
  • For international flight: Vietnam Airlines, international airlines.
• Ticket standard: Standard Economic ticket (cancel/change with fee).
• Customer service: One staff to oversee all services for VVOB.

VVOB is inviting bidders to come up with a signed and sealed quotation in Vietnamese by e-mail to [email protected] and  [email protected] before 23 May 2022 (5PM Vietnam time) and mention in object: ‘quotation ref VVOB 2022 003’
