JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: One Program Volunteer based in Da Nang

The East Meets West Foundation (EMW),“the foundation for learning, healing and health", is a US-based non-governmental organization that assists disadvantaged communities in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia through programs in education, health, clean water and sanitation. Founded in 1988, EMW has a 34-year track record of innovative and effective work in Vietnam and a vast portfolio of completed projects. EMW projects and programs are known for their high quality, long -term sustainability, emphasis on results, and significant scale.

Currently, East Meets West Foundation is seeking a program volunteer who will support for Admin. and Finance Officer in handling administrative and financial support duties of WOBA Project (Water, Sanitation and FSM) for a period of 2 months. This position is required to start working as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Administration:

• Responsible in scanning, printing, photocopying, filing and delivering documents to corresponding partners/ agencies/staff.
• Support the A&F officer in checking timesheets for field staff
• Support in following up Program’s in - out letters.
• Write meeting minutes.
• Organize logistical arrangements for lodging, transportation, workshops/conferences for projects and operational activities of the program;
• Support the A&F officer to communicate with WOBA team when requested

Finance:

• Support in checking payments for WOBA program.
• Check all project expenses before sending to the A&F officer for further process.

Indicators for good performance:

• Complete all tasks/assignments in an accurate, cost effective and timely manner.
• Quality reports to meet deadlines, as required
• Minimize mistakes in work and breaches of organizational regulations.
• Build a good relationship with supervisor, co-workers and counterparts.

Job Specifications/ Qualifications:

• College or University degree.
• At least one year experience in the field or with NGO is preferred
• Command of Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Work under tight deadline and pressure.
