Service to be performed: Supporting the development of WCLI’s Learning Management System (LMS)

Location of Services: at WCS office, and virtually on request and approved

Date(s) of Service’s performance: Aug. 1, 2022 – September 30, 2022

I. Background:

WCS Viet Nam is working with international trainers in developing Learning Management System (LMS) which consists of lectures’ reading, video, Powerpoint presentations, etc. on an online platform for 08 courses in the WCLI program, tentatively including:

Course 1 "Wildlife crime and trafficking" with 05 modules
Course 2 "Crime science, analysis and problem solving" with 06 modules
Course 3 "Leadership and Change Management" with 06 modules
Course 4 "Managing Operational Excellence" with 06 modules
Course 5 "Enforcement Focused Leadership" with 06 modules
Course 6 "Organizational Management" with 06 modules
Course 7 "Global Advances of Investigation Techniques" with 06 modules
Course 8 "Evidence-based enforcement strategies" with 02 modules

LMS can be used by present and future participants of WCLI and other WCS’s capacity building activities.

II. Objectives:

WCS is looking for a consultant to support proofreading translated materials and made edits to ensure the preciseness and consistency between courses and between modules. S/he aslo helps prepare subtitles in accordance to transated document for video clips of these course modules which will be subtitled by other consultant. S/he will develop LMS versions on online platform as guided by the person in charge at WCS in accordance to transated document.

English documents are proofread and edited (estimated 1,700 pages of the total of 2,000 pages of the WCLI’s LMS)

Video’s subtitles are prepared: (estimated 200 videos in 600 minutesof the total of 215 videos of the WCLI’s LMS)

LMS versions are developed: (estimated 43 modules of the total of 46 modules of 08 courses)

Payment will be made 02 times, tentative on 28 Aug. and 30 Sept., upon approval by WCS on completed service

Total allotted time (total working days): 50 days

IV. Requirements (selection criteria):

Proficient in written English and Vietnamese;
Use computer software fluently, i.e. Microsoft Office, video editing like Adobe Premier.
Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as environment, law
Have at least 6-months of working experience in conservation sector, is preferable
