Verification of the performance of a BftW (potential) partner organization in terms of their eligibility in financial management for receiving EZE / BMZ funds.
Location: Vietnam, Laos, and Europe in case the Head Office is in Europe.
Background
Bread for the World (BftW) is a German non-government ecclesial organization working throughout the world with the objective to contribute to an inclusive socio-economic development to overcome poverty. Guiding principles are social justice and ecological responsibility. The regional office (RO) in Hanoi is cooperating with local and international partner organizations since 1996.
Objective of the assignment
The auditor is enable to report on whether the (potential) partner organization has their eligibility in terms of legal status and finance in order to implement projects funded by EZE/BMZ.
Description of the assignment
The auditor shall include an evidence-based assessment of a specific partner organization in terms of their legal status, administrative and financial management and compliance capacities considering national legal requirements and international development standards.
In detail:
The consultant will review relevant documents, including institutional audit reports and external evaluations. The consultant will meet with the boards, directors, and relevant staff.
Requirements for the auditor
General principles
The auditor must be an independent external auditor who is a registered member of a national accounting or auditing body or institution which in turn is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and who is certified to perform audits.
The auditor must be functionally independent of the partner organisation concerned.
