1. Introduction
The Centre for Rural Development in Central Vietnam (CRD) University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University was founded in 1995 with the missions to conduct research, training, technology transfer and policy advocacy in order to enhance the capacity of the people, social organizations, community and local officials on agriculture and rural development with a view to improving livelihoods, environmental and ecological protection, social equity and democracy.
CRD is implementing the project "Strengthening the engagement of ethnic minorities (EMs) in the conservation of medicinal plant resources" in Thuong Lo commune, Nam Dong district, Thua Thien Hue province. The project is financially supported by the European Union in Vietnam through the "Conservation Fund" project jointly organized by the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center (GreenViet) and the Gustav - Stresemann Institute (GSI, Germany). The project has the following main objectives:
CRD is looking for one (1) experienced consultant to provide technical assistance in carrying out awareness raising and capacity building activities for the community in the conservation of available medicinal plants.
