Overall Purpose:

Mekong Economics is undertaking an Enterprise Survey for the World Bank in three countries in South East Asia (including Vietnam). The Data Management and Quality Assurance Coordinator will support the firm in managing, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of data. The candidate will be skilled in R and STATA and will be expected to liaise with screeners and other team members. Proficiency in Vietnamese and English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management and Survey Implementation Support: Coordinate the collection, processing, storage, retrieval and analysis of data in accordance with the company's data management procedures and systems. Assist screeners and enumerators in navigating and using necessary software for survey implementation, specifically Survey Solutions and Google Sheets.
2. Data Analysis and Model Development: Utilize R and STATA to develop advanced statistical models for analyzing World Bank Enterprise Survey data. These models should be capable of identifying outliers and extracting meaningful insights from the data.
3. Data Quality Assurance: Develop and implement data quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of data. Regularly conduct data quality checks on the collected survey data to identify and correct any inconsistencies or errors.
4. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with screeners, enumerators and other team members, providing them with necessary support to ensure successful survey implementation. Act as a liaison between different team members to facilitate efficient communication and coordination.
5. Reporting: Prepare regular reports summarizing findings and insights drawn from data analysis. Present these reports in a clear and comprehensible manner to the intended audience.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a related discipline. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
2. Proven experience in data management and quality assurance.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools, R and STATA.
4. Fluency in Vietnamese and English, both written and spoken.

1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate work with others.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them effectively, and deliver high-quality work within the specified deadlines.

Evaluation Criteria:

The evaluation of candidates will be based on the requirements mentioned above. Shortlisted candidates may be required to take a test. References will also be verified.
