Summary of Duties:
Area of Selection:
Under the direction of the Management and Consular Officer, the Common Service Officer is responsible for the delivery of the following: property and facilities management, material management and procurement, and contracting. Duties include: planning and administering services related to the management and maintenance of the Consulate General’s office and residential properties; planning and administering the supply and maintenance of required furnishings, equipment and appliances; developing and maintaining a broad network of contacts and contracts with suppliers and contractors; providing advice and guidance to a diverse base of clients; researching and drafting reports and planning documents/project plans; supervising other locally engaged staff directly; preparing the annual estimates for property and material budgets, monitoring and reporting on budget expenditures against forecasts; maintaining statistics and records of property and procurement value; monitoring local property market; and performing other duties.
This position is open to candidates who hold documentation allowing them to work in Vietnam without restriction, who meet the essential qualifications, and whose applications are received by the closing date and time.
