I. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Job Title                  : Project Coordinator
• Department             : Science Research and Project Management
• Employment type     : Full-time, 05 days per week  (Monday to Friday)
• Work location           : 60 Thanh Vinh 2 Str, Son Tra District, Da Nang City
• Reporting to           : Chief of  Science Research and Project Management Department, GreenViet’s Director, and Project Manager.
  

II. ABOUT GREENVIET

GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre (GreenViet) was established in 2012 and has operated in the field of Biodiversity Conservation with priority areas in the Central and Central Highlands of Viet Nam.

III. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Project Technical Coordination

• Develop and manage the project implementation plans, both financial and technical aspects, on a quarterly and annual basis
• Organize and supervise the project implementation to ensure the goal, progress, and effectiveness of the project.
• Prepare and submit reports to the sponsor, the relevant State agencies, and GreenViet, including progress reports, project completion reports, and reports on the project’s main activities.
• Improve the efficiency and impact of the project (including logical framework, expected results, contents, duration and budget for each activity)

B.  Coordination of human resources, budget, and expenditure of the project

• Assign and provide guidance to project staffs to ensure they work in alignment with the organization’s culture and environment, promoting a spirit of team-work.
• Manage the project’s financial plan and expenditure.
• Approve the expenditures for the project in compliance with the regulations set forth by GreenViet and the sponsor.

C. Connection

• Collaborate closely with advisors, the Board of Directors, the Project manager, departments, and staff of GreenViet to obtain necessary support, information, and technical expertise for the successful implementation of the project.
• Work directly with the sponsor, partners, competent authority, and relevant agencies to ensure full compliance with the law, policy, and procedure throughout the project implementation process (including agreement on cooperation plans, cooperative contracts/agreements, and administrative procedures related to project implementation; submitting relevant reports and promptly notifying relevant parties of any project adjustments).

IV. REQUIREMENTS

• Qualification: University Degree or higher (postgraduate is preferred)
• Field of expertise: Biodiversity Conservation, Environment protection, Forestry, or relevant fields.
• Experiences: Minimum 03 years of work experience with at least 02 years in a project coordinator or equivalent position in the field of biodiversity conservation, environment protection, and forestry; work effectively with State agencies;
• Strong skills in work planning, management, operation, and supervision; team management and development; financial management, risk management; report writing. Proficient in English (speaking and writing).
• Be honest and respect colleagues, sponsors, management agencies, partners, communities, organizational regulations, and leader’s decisions; positive thinking and a spirit of serving the community.
• Other preferences: Previous experience working in Science and Technology organizations and non-governmental organizations; understanding of regulations related to the establishment of Conservation Areas, Educational Centers, or environmental interpretation; having knowledge and experience working in the Central and Central Highlands provinces; proactive at work.
