Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the economic representation of the Flemish Region of Belgium abroad. The main task of Flanders Investment & Trade is to support Flemish companies exporting to Vietnam and Vietnam-based companies seeking to locate in Flanders.
About the project
GOOSE is an EU-funded project aiming at improving the access of SMEs to public procurements in non-EU countries with which the European Union has signed a bilateral or multilateral agreement covering public procurement. This project was jointly proposed by the Trade Promotion Organizations of Catalonia, Croatia, Estonia and Flanders. Flanders Investment & Trade will be responsible for the Vietnamese market and is in the process of building a network among the organizations and government agencies that work with public procurement. Job description
Flanders Investment & Trade is looking for an assistant (M/F) to the Head of Office for its office in Hanoi for 6 months. Please apply if you’re a reliable, hands-on team player who wants to be part of our dynamic team.
Main tasks
- Searching for public procurement tenders that might be interesting for European SMEs and sharing the public procurement information with European companies via the GOOSE platform.
- Organizing an incoming trade mission in March 2024.
- Identifying companies and contact details of Vietnamese companies that participate in public procurement tenders.
- Preparing detailed lists of companies that need to be contacted as well as of companies that have been approached.
- Assisting the Trade & Investment Counsellor in daily business operations.
- Reporting to the Trade & Investment Counsellor.
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an university ideally specialised in economics or trade.
- Very good command of written and spoken Vietnamese and English as you have to report back in English.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft environment and applications (MS Office, CRM Dynamics,...)
- Ability to manage the required tasks, schedule appointments and meet deadlines.
- Pay attention to detail, being conscientious and being willing to learn.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Working experiences in international organiations/companies.Experience with public procurement is considered a plus.

- A temporary full-time 6 months contract to support the preparation and running of an EU project.

- A monthly gross salary of 1000-1500 USD dependent on experience.
