WWF’s mission in Cambodia is to ensure that there will be strong participation and support from all people to conserve the country’s rich biological diversity. The WWF-Cambodia conservation programme that started more than 20 years ago is implemented in 2 landscapes – Eastern Plains Landscape (EPL) and Mekong Flooded Forest (MFF) Landscape and built over the following 4 pillars of interventions: (1) Securing Landscape Integrity and Sustaining Conservation and Livelihood Development, (2) Freshwater and Sustainable Hydropower, (3) Protected Area Management and Conservation Research and (4) Sustainable Financing – Green Economy.
About WWF-Cambodia
Since 2005, WWF-Cambodia has had a strong presence in the MFF landscape, establishing productive partnerships with both national and sub-national government officials. In addition, WWF- Cambodia has a proven track-record of success using a landscape approach for protected area management, biodiversity conservation, policy advocacy. WWF-Cambodia has focused its conservation efforts under the following five pillars 1) Community engagement, 2) Protect area and law enforcement, 3) Biodiversity monitoring and research, 4) Public sector engagement, and 5) Private sector engagement.
We are looking for a committed, result-driven candidate for the position of Country Director _WWF-Cambodia
Major Function:
Develop and lead a high performing Country Office with efficient operating systems, professional and skilled staff, strong financial resources. Deliver conservation impact in places that are key for WWF’s International and other global conservation priorities, positioning the Country Office as the leading conservation INGO nationally, regionally, and globally.
