Save the Children’s vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. Our mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. The organization started our work in Vietnam in 1990 and implements programs in the key thematic areas: Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection, Child Rights and Governance, Child Poverty, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Emergency Response. At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 20 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.
The WNCB project country team in Vietnam needs to understand the effects of the WNCB programme interventions in the targeted communities in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Thap Province and uses a multitude of methods to assess relevant changes in their target communities. The aim is that SenseMaker will provide information on the effectiveness of our programme with regards to complex areas of change, such as changes in norms and attitudes, where it concerns child labor and education, but also on changes with regards to the community, policy, legal, institutional environment in which child labor takes place.
