SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995, and currently has over 50 national and international staff. We operate from a country office in Hanoi as well as project offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Tra Vinh, Da Lat and Buon Ma Thuot. Our work focuses on three sectors – Agri-Food, Water and Renewable Energy.
SNV is in consortium with Stantec as lead, CEERD and DEM has been awarded the EU - Viet Nam Sustainable Energy Transition Facility. This facility is in the framework of EU budget support action with the Government of Viet Nam focused on Energy and Climate topics (SDG7 and SDG13). The Facility of up to EUR 8 million implemented in 70 months will provide, on a demand-driven basis, expertise and capacity development in areas such as technology and knowledge transfer through cooperation on areas like research, higher education and R&D for renewable energy and energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy efficiency policy, legal and regulatory frameworks, norms and technical standards, power market analyses, energy governance, energy information systems, energy budgeting and planning. The Facility will contribute to the achievement of Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Program (SETP) objectives of (i) improved energy efficiency; (ii) a larger share of renewable energy in the energy mix; and (iii) improved performance of the Viet Nam Energy Information System.
The Facility will lead the Policy Dialogue component of the action, taking over the Vietnam Energy Partnership Group. Moreover, the Facility will provide capacity development, providing demand-driven technical assistance, supporting the Vietnam energy information system.
We are seeking for highly qualified candidate for the post Executive Assistant to support the implementation of SETP.
