Senior Program Manager – Maritime

The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the position of Senior Program Manager - Maritime (LE6).
Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Political and Strategic Communications Section, the Senior Program Manager - Maritime works under limited direction from the First Secretary (Regional Maritime Officer) within a small team that manages maritime programs and provides policy advice to inform Australian Government policy and programming both in-country and in Canberra.
Applicants should have strong knowledge of the Vietnamese Government’s maritime policies and programs, and an understanding of Australia’s interests in the region, have strong representational or networking skills, particularly in dealing with national and subnational government, and counterpart maritime agencies. High-level verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese languages including ability to provide high quality and targeted briefings and interpretation assistance are essential.
The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period with an option to renew the contract for up to another Two (2) years or Ongoing/Permanent Employment. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. Monthly gross salary ranges from VND 55,736,420 to VND 62,731,831, depending on skills and experience.
