Senior Trade Policy Analyst

The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the position of Senior Trade Policy Analyst (LE6). A merit list from this recruitment exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.
Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the Economic Section with limited direction from First Secretary (Economic), the Senior Trade Policy Analyst supports the Embassy on bilateral, regional and multilateral trade policy developments in Vietnam, including Vietnam’s WTO and FTA commitments, and assisting with management of projects and programs related to the implementation of the Vietnam-Australia Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy (EEES).
Applicants should have demonstrated knowledge and experience working on trade policy and business issues in Vietnam. Ability to engage in policy dialogue and negotiation with senior level officials with excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Vietnamese languages are essential.
The successful applicant will be offered an Ongoing/Permanent Employment. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 55,736,420 to VND 62,731,831, depending on skills and experience.
