Medabon Distribution Agent Consultant (part-time)

Position summary:  This part-time consultant will work with PSI Program team to support the sales and distribution of Medical Abortion (MA) products in remote areas.

Work closely with:    PSI’s Program Coordinator

Period:                      6 months (May – October 2024 with possible extension due to work performance

Gross daily rate:        VND 500,000/day and up to 14 days/month

Background:

During implementation the sales and distribution strategy for Medabon combi-packs in Vietnam since 2022, data showed that travel time and cost for sales reps for physical visits and take care of customers in the remoted areas were significant high. Due to the long distance, the sales team (07 sales reps and 01 sale supervisor) are facing challenges to maintain customer relations, especially in remote areas. Therefore, it brings to our consideration to hire a position to serve as a Distribution Agent to support the sales activities of MA products with focus on remote areas.

Remote areas are defined and grouped as below:

• Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan,
• Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien
• Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh
• Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai
• Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan
• Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct sales visits to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in areas in charge (3 – 4 neighborhood provinces) to promote MA products distributed by PSI SBU.
• Distribute MA products to customers
• Establish and maintain good business relations with MA customers in the assigned territory area
• Collect market insights and sale intelligence to inform necessary change.
• Achieve distribution target assigned by Program Coordinator monthly 

Expected deliverables:

• Conduct distribution activities to reach monthly distribution target of MA packs.
• Conduct monthly supportive visits and maintain partnerships with assigned private providers in the assigned territory

(Distribution target and # private providers coverage will be discussed during the interview) 

Selection criteria

• Proven sales experience to private clinics
• Ability to travel in above listed provinces areas.
• Proven ability to persuade customers to successfully purchase products distributed by PSI.
