We are looking for a local qualified candidate to fill the following position at our office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

JUNIOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION COORDINATOR

POSITION PROFILE

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team works to provide leadership, oversight, and coordination for the M&E, Research activities and Data Management of AIP Foundation programs and projects with a clear methodology that supports the efficient implementation and achievement of goals.

The M&E Junior Coordinator will be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and will report directly to the M&E Senior Coordinator. She/He will also work closely with other M&E staff, program staff in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand as well as all other departments.

A key focus of this position will be support for research projects and organizational data management. Besides, the Coordinator will involve in other support to the M&E Department.

The position requires experience with database management as well as an understanding of Research. Candidates with experience in implementing public health/community research will be preferred.

This role will be appraised by the M&E Senior Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities listed below are inclusive, but not exhaustive, of the role. It is reasonable to assume that additional tasks will be requested, as and when needed.

Research implementation

  • Support Line Manager in working with the Trial Management Group from the UK and other partners in Vietnam to coordinate the research project activities;
  • Supporting the development of research deliverables (methodology, research plan, timeline, protocol, data collection tools);
  • Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing data to inform the design of new activities, as needed;
  • Following up with target partners regularly and providing support to participants in project sites, in collaboration with other partners;
  • Providing input and expertise for data analysis and report writing;
  • Working with external consultants in all activities under the project;
  • Supporting in synthesis data for publications, progress reports, annual reports; findings dissemination;
  • Regularly importing project data into the organizational data management platform, research database developed by research sponsor;
  • Supporting in managing and storage of data/documents;
  • Supporting project data/results translation into materials for outreach, external communications, fundraising, and advocacy;
  • Participating and/or coordinating regular meetings with other partners in the UK, and Vietnam partners;
  • Carrying out the administrative and logistical works of the project;

Data management

  • Support to organize datasets from external road safety and population surveillance, as needed;
  • Support in designing, managing, and improving organizational data system; Regularly check project data and import into the data system;
  • Support in managing and storage of data/documents in systems;
  • Support in synthesizing data for publications, progress reports, and annual reports;

Other

  • Support logistics, administration, and planning for M&E Department activities and meetings;
  • Support M&E Manager to provide bi-monthly, monthly management reporting to CEO;
  • Other tasks, as requested by the M&E Senior Coordinator and M&E Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, public health, social science, evaluation, information technology, or a related field;
  • 2+ years relevant work experience;
  • Understanding and experience in public health research or trial cohort study is preferable;
  • Proficiency in database management a plus;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong written and spoken English; proficiency in Vietnamese is a highly distinctive asset;
  • Ability to work well under pressure while juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and a “can-do” attitude;
  • Ability to prioritize with minimal supervision and work independently as well as function as a member of a team;
  • Ability to work with other colleagues in different cultures and across time zones;
  • Advanced computer skills, especially MS Office applications and data management platforms (e.g. Power BI, MS Excel, etc.) is preferable;
  • Candidates with experience in international health and development preferred.
