We are seeking applications for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer to successfully plan and implement MEL activities across the Aus4Skills program.

Aus4Skills program 

The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to achieving reliable and valid data sets for analysis, reporting and decision-making in accordance with the MEL Frameworks
  • Coordinate and contribute to the Alumni Development Impact Surveys surveys and reporting specified in the MEL Plan 
  • Contribute to MEL strategies and gender-sensitive data collection techniques 
  • Provide MEL support and guidance to Component Managers and Officers to perform MEL activities
  • Contribute to the preparation of MEL and other reports and communication materials activities

Selection criteria

  • At least bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study such as management, education, evaluation, public health, gender studies, social sciences, or other development-related fields
  • Relevant practical experience (at least 3 years) in related fields such as monitoring, evaluation, or statistics, data management
  • Experience in a range of data collection, management, and analysis methods, including qualitative analysis and gender analysis, is an advantage
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Excel-based databases and customised features for data management and analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English language
