GENERAL INFORMATION:
With funding from the United Nations Office of Project Services for Asia and the Pacific (UNOPS), VPHA is implementing the project: “Enhancing the cooperative role of the private sector in the last mile of sustainable malaria prevention and elimination plan in Vietnam” in the 2024-2026 period in four provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Binh Phuoc. The goal of the project is to actively support and contribute to the final phase (last mile) of the National plan to eliminate malaria in Vietnam and improve detection and preparedness for malaria outbreaks through strengthening and maintaining private sector involvement.
VPHA needs to recruit 01 position as follows:
- Vacancy: Project Director
- Reporting directly to VPHA Chairman
- Contract duration: Yearly and can be extended annually depending on performance
- Working time: Part-time
- Location: The association's office is in Hanoi, and can go on business trips in 3 project provinces or other areas of the association's activities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with project coordinator, directly manage all project activities. Responsible to the Chairman for the assigned work plan and efficiency.
- Advise the leaders of the Association to choose plans to organize, operate, and implement projects.
- Implement the establishment, inspection, and monitoring of administrative procedures for project implementation in accordance with donor's regulations and current regulations of the nation.
- Work with the project coordinator in monitoring progress, costs, quality of project activities and compliance with sponsor regulations.
- Represent VPHA to contact donors and attend international and local workshops and meetings
- Support the project coordinator to synthesize, evaluate and solving rising problems related to the quality, progress and effectiveness of the project.
- Support the project coordinator to synthesize periodic reports to evaluate project effectiveness according to sponsor's requirements and approve reports and other documents according to regulations
- Strictly adhere to the six core principles to prevent of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- University graduate with at least 05 years of experience in related fields such as Public Health, Community Development, Social Work and related fields. Encourage newly retired candidates.
- Have experience working in a similar position in a NGO or NGO project related to community health, community development and social work.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks, and ability to work under time pressure
- Ability to work independently, work in groups, and have good communication skills
- Willing to travel domestically and on weekends as required
