Introduction cooperative
Vinh Kim People’s Credit Fund(SACCO - Savings & Credit Cooperative) operates in Cha Va Hamlet, Vinh Kim Commune, Cau Ngang District, Tra Vinh province, Vietnam. The SACCO started in November 1998 and has grown to 1,951 members (households) in 2019 and 2,334 member in 2021, while the number of youths increase from 450 member to 468 member in 2019 and 2021 respectively. The total loan the SACCO disbursed last year is 203 billion VND and the loan outstanding was maintained around 105 billion during the year. It operates under Vietnamese SACCO Law and policies and regulation issued by the State Bank of Vietnam. The SACCO has 05 members of board management (01 chairman + 04 members) and 03 members of supervisory board (01 head + 02 members). There are 20 permanent staff, including in 01 Director, 01 Vice-Director, 03 Office managers in 03 transaction office in 03 communes; and 16 technical staff: 4 credit officers, 4 accountants, and 4 cashiers.
The primary business activity of Vinh Kim SACCO (VKSA) is to mobilize loan capital and saving from their members and to provide their members with credit services when needed. The SACCO is providing 2 types of credit products for households only (not for companies): short-term loans (max. 12-month period) and medium-term loans (max. 60-month period). Average loan size: 60 million VND/loan. Currently, a biggest loan for a household is 900 million VND/loan. The interest of the loan is similar to the rates offered by commercial banks in which 10-11%/ year was applied for short term loan and 10%-11,5% was applied for long term loan.
In the next 5 years, the SACCO has the ambition to reach 3000 members with the Revenue of 12,850 million VND, including: (i) from lending activities: 11,550 million; Savings: 1,275 million; and money transmission: 25 million with a profit of 1,350 million and 17% of dividend distributed for shareholders.
Background of the assignment
Following up on the recommendations and the background of the assignment TRA 15879: MyCoop workshop for VKSC members in December 2022 and assignment ADV 16404: Vinh Kim Business Plan 2023-2027 in June 2023, a market extension is the next step for the SACCO. However, to prepare for a successful market extension, the marketing materials should be developed to meet the client’s expectations and market trends.
The marketing materials development was divided into three steps. During the first fieldwork, the CA worked with VKSA to collect all necessary inputs for developing the marketing materials. The second phase is the design phase, followed by the printing procedures.
This ToR is developed to call for a professional designer/ Agency (service provider) to carry on the development of the below list of marketing materials (expected deliverables). The service provider will work closely with VKSA representatives and the CA in charge of Agriterra to finalize the design.
Main objective
To finalize the ready-to-print marketing materials aimed at expanding the market reach and increasing brand visibility for VKSA.
