Job Description
Location: Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Soc Trang (with responsibility in Ca Mau and Tra Vinh)
1. INTRODUCTION
The United States Agency for International Development Climate Resilient Agriculture in the Mekong Delta Project (CRM) works with the Government of Vietnam (GVN) to enhance the resilience of the Mekong Delta’s communities, ecosystems, and livelihoods. The overall goal of CRM is to advance low-emissions, climate-resilient, agricultural livelihoods combined with biodiversity conservation to support carbon sequestration, healthy ecosystems, and resilience of vulnerable communities in the Mekong Delta.
CRM works across five provinces of Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Soc Trang, and Tra Vinh and focus on three interconnected objectives and one cross-cutting theme:
CRM will be implemented during the period of 2023-2028 by Winrock International (WI) with a consortium of Vietnamese and international partners, including Netherlands Development Organization (SNV). GVN counterparts are the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the Management Board of Forest Projects (MBFPs).

3. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Field Coordinator will support private sector engagement across Climate Resilient Agriculture in the Mekong Delta’s (CRM) objectives through promotion of market-based approaches covering rice, aquaculture, and horticulture value chains and design and implementation of innovative financial instruments for low emission and sustainable agriculture practices and nature-based solutions.
Three Field Coordinators based in Dong Thap, Kien Giang and Soc Trang will coordinate field operations in their respective regions, facilitating access to beneficiaries and supporting complete implementation of the program at decentralized level. The Field Coordinators expected to regularly support SNV field operations in Ca Mau and Tra Vinh to be assigned by Value Chain Specialist.

5. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Know how | Professional with knowledge and understanding of the core project implementation procedures and project coordination. |
Complexity | Provide project coordination within stable setting, known, straightforward and proven project approach/technology, clear requirements (e.g. grants) and a stable political and secure situation within one country. |
Supervision | Work is supervised, procedures and work instructions are provided. Conflicts are identified and consulted with senior colleague. |
Impact | Direct impact on country project delivery through project implementation, requiring financial proficiency and support. |
Planning and organising The ability to determine goals and priorities and to assess the actions, time and resources needed to achieve those goals. |
Communication The ability to communicate in clear language and to adjust one’s use of language to the audience’s level, making sure ideas and essence are understood by the audience. |
Problem analysis The ability to detect problems, recognise important information and link various data to trace potential causes and look for relevant details. |

CRM applies a “One Team” approach, where staff hired by different consortium members are fully embedded within the CRM’s Office and staffing structure. Within this arrangement, the Field Coordinator will follow a parallel management structure:
