Description of the project the Intern will complete:
PATH is collaborating with the Vietnam Administration of Medical Service (VAMS), a department under the Ministry of Health, to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the IPC situation across all levels of care in Vietnam. This assessment aims to provide evidence-based recommendations to address IPC gaps and challenges and to finalize the National Action Plan (NAP) on IPC for the health sector for the period 2024-2030. The assessment employs a mixed-methods approach, including a nationwide online self-survey and on-site assessments in five selected provinces across four regions to collect data.
PATH is currently seeking a qualified intern to support us in the following areas: (1) Data collection: following up with specific hospitals to complete the Online IPC Self-Assessment, (2) Data verification and cleaning: assisting our assessment data management consultant with data verification and cleaning, (3) Admistrative and Logistical support: assisting in note-taking and preparing meeting minutes and logistical arrangements for PATH staff and consultants for the on-site assessments, including correspondence with selected hospitals to prepare for these trips, and (4) Organizing the Hybrid Consultation Workshop: supporting logistical arrangements for the workshop. The intern will report to the Senior Program Officer and work closely with the PATH Vietnam program team.
