Job Description:

Background

World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization working to improve the quality of life of people, especially children who are marginalized and living in poverty. World Vision helps all who are in need, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender. World Vision International in Vietnam (WVIV) has been funded by 13 support countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia. Funding of WVIV consists of sponsorship program funding (70%) and Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS)/grants (30%). WVIV employs about 400 staff, of which 99% are Vietnamese nationals.

WVIV is operating in 25 Area Programs (AP) in 4 zones: North 1 (Dien Bien, Ha Noi, Hai Phong), North 2 (Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh), Central (Quang Nam, Quang Tri, and Da Nang), and South (Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh, Dak Nong). WVIV’s AP usually focuses on one administrative district of a province which populated by ethnic minority people with high rates of poverty. Beside the APs, WVV is also implementing different Special and Grant Projects to meet the specific needs of vulnerable children in both AP and non-AP areas.

We are looking for a competent Vietnamese candidate to fill the following position:

Work Location: Tua Chua Area Program in Tua Chua District, Dien Bien Province

Reports to: Area Program (AP) Manager

I. Position information:

1, As the Area Program Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide support to Development Facilitators, Sponsorship Facilitator, and AP Manager in compiling reports, accompanying visitors, and maintaining a routine Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (DME) system.
  • Build and maintain effective partnership with relevant sectoral district offices.
  • In cooperation with Technical teams, provide sufficient technical guidance, inputs, trainings, coaching to AP staff.
  • Implement Technical Programs (TP) activities at the district level, based on an approved plan and budget

2, This role is for you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, public health, community development, or social work; motorbike driving license.
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in community development.
  • Experience in program implementation, community mobilization, participatory approaches, program monitoring, evaluation, data collection, and analysis.
  • Strong partnering and collaborating skills with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Language requirement: Vietnamese: Fully fluent. English: Intermediate
