Location:

Da Lat, Lam Dong, Vietnam

Reports to:

Vietnam Country Manager and GDA Senior Project Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Position Mandate

Resonance is seeking candidates for the consultancy, Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) in Agriculture Program, an initiative of Investing in Women to Strengthen Supply Chains, a Global Development Alliance (GDA) between PepsiCo and USAID to make the business case for WEE in agricultural supply chains.

USAID and PepsiCo work together to strengthen women’s agricultural skills and access to resources within PepsiCo’s supply chains to demonstrate the value of women’s contributions to core business and impact goals. The GDA aims to ensure that women – as farmers or workers – benefit from being directly or indirectly involved within PepsiCo’s supply chains while also being empowered within their households and communities.

The consultant will provide critical support to the PepsiCo Agro Team to implement a series of gender-equitable programs named the “DARE Projects” that reflect the next phase of GDA programming. These projects were co-designed by the PepsiCo Agro Team, Sustainability Team, and GDA staff during a recent Agro Academy focused on gender equitable supply chain management.

The DARE projects include the following:

  • Scale up Gender Smart Farms Positive (GSF+) model
  • Women Farmers’ Club – creates a platform to develop and pilot model farms, socialize agricultural knowledge and skills, and promote a collaborative relationship with women farmers
  • Scale up of the Digital Farmers’ Diary application
  • Women-led Mechanization Pilot in Gia LaI
  • Smart Agro – digitalization of contractual operations to reduce time and cost for both the Agro Team and famers
  • Improving farmers satisfaction and strengthening the relationship between farmers and PepsiCo
