Background
World Vision is a relief and development organization working to improve the quality of life of people, especially children who are marginalized and living in poverty. World Vision helps all who are in need, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender. World Vision International in Vietnam (WVI) has been funded by 13 support countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Australia. Funding of WVI in Vietnam consists of sponsorship program funding (70%) and Private Non-Sponsorship (PNS)/grants (30%). WVI employs about 400 staff, of which 99% are Vietnamese nationals.
WVI is operating in 25 Area Programs (AP) in 4 zones: North 1 (Dien Bien, Ha Noi, Hai Phong), North 2 (Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh), Central (Quang Nam, Quang Tri, and Da Nang), and South (Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh, Dak Nong). WVI’s AP usually focuses on one administrative district of a province which populated by ethnic minority people with high rates of poverty. Beside the APs, WVI is also implementing different Special and Grant Projects to meet the specific needs of vulnerable children in both AP and non-AP areas.
We are looking for a competent Vietnamese candidate to fill the following position:
Job Title: AP Administrative Assistant
Work Location: Minh Long Area Program in Minh Long District, Quang Ngai Province
Reports to: Area Program Manager
Position information:
1, As the AP Administrative Assistant, you will:
Support the Area Program Manager and team in implementing administrative tasks, including:
- Arranging logistics for program activities, and visits; preparing and tracking logistic purchase requests; supporting procurement processes; and entering data into the most vulnerable children (MVC) support monitoring file/system.
- Arranging logistics for sponsorship events and visits, supporting local partners in purchasing gifts for sponsored children, and tracking the progress and quality of pictures and videos of sponsored children.
- Work with local volunteers, teachers and partners to follow up progress of correspondences, Child Expression Worksheet to ensure they are in alignment with sponsorship standards.
2, This role is for you if you have:
- College degree in any fields
- Motorbike driving license is required
- At least 01 year of experience in administrative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Language requirement: Vietnamese: Fully fluent. English: Intermediate
- Ability in being detail-oriented, proactive, hardworking, and willing to learn and grow
- Basic understanding of and experience in development/humanitarian works would be an advantage
