SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Duty Station: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all proper accounting records are maintained with accuracy, timelines and completeness.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the financial accounting procedure
- Ensure the financial affairs of the Program comply with regulations
- Overview expenditure against approved budget for each item so that to have monthly report to project managers for advice timely;
- To provide guidance and/ or training on accounting procedures to other staff and partners as necessary.
- Participate in developing and monitoring the annual budget
- Review payment/receipt/journal vouchers
- Prepare monthly & yearly financial reports for Group Finance Manager and CEO
- Develop and update a donor report database; and prepare financial reports to donors
- Ensure all statutory tax and accounting reports and filings are prepared and submitted timely and accurately.
- To keep all accountancy, salary and other sensitive information pertaining to the program confidential.
- Making necessary preparations for audit and working with the audit team when required
- Prepare and provide other accounting information, administrative documents and reports as requested.
- Assist with other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- B.A degree in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge or experience of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) would be an asset.
- At least 5 years of related experience in finance and accounting management
- Knowledge of economic and auditing practices and principles;
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with partners.
- Experience in day-to-day office financial management.
- Passion and enthusiasm for working with Children in Vietnam

- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Good interpersonal communication skills;
- Talent in negotiating and dealing with practical issues;
- Good quality written and oral English is an asset
- Computing proficiency in Word and Excel.
